Requirements:

• 2+ year previous experience in a similar role

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supporting operations by creating schedules that resolve capacity accurately with demand

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of different types of rubber coverings and inflated tubes used for specific vehicles and weather conditions such as winter and summer tyres, performance tyres, truck or tractor tyres.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • A valid driver’s license is required upon hire and as a condition of continued employment

Skills Required:

  • Balancing tyres by measuring the static and dynamic balance of tyres using sensors, bubble balancers and spin balancers
  • Rebuffing tyres by using abrasive tools
  • Cleaning tyres
  • Inspecting worn tyres in order to determine if they can be retreaded, and evaluating the degree of damages such as cracks, cuts or other faults
  • Coating inside of tyres by using rubber cement
  • Adjusting the vulcanizing machine according to the specified temperature, and ensuring the placing of the tyre
  • Clamping tyre into mould
  • Applying rubber patches onto the broken part of the tyre by using a handroller and the correct rubber cement
  • Adjusting the pressure and bag inside tyres.

  • Determine and diagnose car issues based on customer description and vehicle condition

  • Order the necessary parts and verify that they are delivered to technicians
  • Ensure that automotive work provided to customers meets company quality standards
  • Invoice and collect payment from customers for services rendered

Qualifications for Service Advisor

  • Working knowledge and experience of automotive products, repairs and parts
  • Secondary education in the automotive field or equivalent work experience
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate customer needs to workable technician orders
  • Basic knowledge of computer programs including word processing and database tools
